Born and raised in Portland, Teddy Murphy has always been immersed in the energy of the Pacific Northwest-whether it’s skiing on Mt. Hood, golfing in the summer sun, or getting in a competitive pickup game of basketball with cousins and friends. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Teddy has a particular knack for all things basketball, a passion that fuels his academic and career path. He is currently studying Economics with plans to pursue a future in sports marketing.

This summer, Teddy joined (w)here inc. as a full-time intern after several years of being around the company and learning from its culture. In his role, he supported brokers across the office-helping with tours, marketing prep, and day-to-day operations-while gaining first-hand insight into the fast-paced rhythm of the real estate industry. He also contributed to the early development of BROKERabbits, a startup app in the works designed to help brokers manage the ebb and flow of unpredictable business, where his interest in innovation and problem-solving found a natural outlet.

Teddy’s perspective is shaped not only by his Portland roots but also by his Croatian heritage. As a dual citizen, he spends summers on the islands where his grandparents grew up, connecting with family traditions and looking forward to strengthening his knowledge of the language. His love of travel and curiosity about the world push him to explore new places and cultures whenever he can.
